Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea is littered with hundreds of the island that harbour incredible natural and cultural heritage. With almost 6000 kilometres of coastline and 50 inhabited islands and almost 1000 islets, Croatia has plenty to offer lovers of sea and sunshine, history and adventure. It is never easy to choose the most beautiful things, whether is it a girl, a place or a food. However, here is the list of our TOP 10 Croatian islands.

There are almost 1000 islands and islets on the Croaia coast. The thing is, wherever you go, you really can’t miss. Wherever you go, you will find lots of interests. Here is our list of TOP 10, in a nalphabetical order:
Brač

The largest island in Dalmatia, and the third largest in the Adriatic. It is separated from the mainland by the Brač Channel. The island’s tallest peak, Vidova gora, or Mount St. Vid, stands at 780 m,making it the highest island point in the Adriatic.
Brijuni
The Brijuni or the Brijuni Islands are a group of fourteen small islands in the Croatian part of the northern Adriatic Sea, separated from the west coast of the Istrian peninsula by the narrow Fažana Strait.
Cres
Cres is an Adriatic island in Croatia. It is one of the northern islands in the Kvarner Gulf and can be reached via ferry from Rijeka, the island Krk or from the Istrian peninsula
Hvar
Hvar is located off the Dalmatian coast, lying between the islands of Brač, Vis and Korčula. Hvar is unusual in the area for having a large fertile coastal plain, and freshwater springs.
Kornati
The Kornati archipelago is located in the northern part of Dalmatia, south from Zadar and west from Šibenik. With 35 kilometres length and 140 islands, some large, some small, in a sea area of about 320 square kilometres, the Kornati are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.
Krk
Krk is located in the northern Adriatic Sea, located near Rijeka in the Bay of Kvarner and part of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
Lastovo
Lastovo is in the south of Dalmatia and is one of Croatia’s natural gems. Its archipelago consists of 46 islands. The biggest island in the is named Lastovo, as is the largest town.
Mljet
Mljet is the most southerly and easterly of the larger Adriatic islands of the Dalmatia region of Croatia. The National Park includes the western part of the island, Veliko jezero, Malo jezero, Soline Bay and a sea belt 500 m wide from the most prominent cape of Mljet.
Pag
The fifth-largest island, Pag is known for its barren, moonlike landscape, lace production and Pag cheese. Pebble and sand beaches ring the island.
Telašćica on Dugi Otok
Telašćica is a huge bay with cliffs and salt lake in the southeastern part of the island of Dugi Otok, next to the Kornati NP. Thanks to its extreme beauty, richness and importance, it was declared a nature park.
