Savudrija is a beautiful part of the Adriatic coast in the Istra peninsula, with the oldest lighthouse in Croatia. Savudrija is part of Umag Riviera, the westernmost point of the country.

Just little bit north of Umag town is Savudrija, a charming coastal village in the northwestern part of Istria, on the northern Adriatic coast of Croatia. It is known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear water, and beautiful countryside. The village’s most famous landmark is the Savudrija Lighthouse, which dates back to the early 19th century and is the oldest in Croatia. Visitors can also explore the area’s many traditional Istrian houses and buildings, as well as the beautiful countryside and natural parks.

Savudrija is famous for its hanging boats, a traditional way of storing small fishing boats. Local fishermen will hang their boats on wooden poles to save them from the wind and tides.

Savudrija has many beautiful beaches and bays, including the famous Beach of Kanegria, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. Visitors can also enjoy the local cuisine and wine, with many restaurants and bars offering traditional Istrian dishes and drinks. The village hosts several cultural and sports events throughout the year, making it a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
